If you find yourself needing to kill some time, I suggest you go to the movies and see Will Smith in “I Am Legend“.
This movie is certainly very good and I would certainly recommend it is worth a watch. If you enjoy this movie, then I suggest you also go check out “28 Days Later” which is very similar, and based in London, rather then New York (as I Am Legend is).
Would love to hear from anyone who see’s either or both films (especially if you haven’t seen either).

Why not just watch The Omega Man (an earlier film adaptation of the same book)?
It’s sad that Hollywood keeps re-making classic movies because they are unable to produce anything new and good.
I did a bit of research today and noticed it was based on a book, which has had several movies made from it. Of course The Omega Man came up in that research. Further more the writer for 28 Days Later also mentioned The Omega Man as being something he drew from when writing 28 Days Later.
I’ll look at checking out The Omega Man, I’d advise you check out 28 Days Later too. It was fantastic as well.
One of the key things about ‘I Am Legend’ was Will Smith’s performance. He’s definitely developed into a fine actor over the years, and it really shows through how well he carried the role, since the plot was so dependent on it.
That’s not to say that the directing wasn’t also awesome. Brilliant stuff in all ways.
I think the other thing that stood out for me would be the sound effects and the way it was put together. I can’t wait to get the DVD or similar so that we can play the movie again on a nice 5.1 sound setup. I’ll certainly be purchasing a copy when it comes out on DVD etc.
The roar of the car at the start as he drives down streets, sounds nice.
