  • Wet n Wild – Sydney

My wife and I decided to take our oldest son to Wet n Wild – Sydney as a treat. Considering this week was his first day at prep school.

He was very excited, and when we arrived yesterday afternoon his excitement at the time was evident once he saw the place. We had a good time and managed to make the most of the special price for twilight after 3pm. Mind you it got pretty cool once that sun went down about 8pm. All in all it wasn’t bad.

The queues were of course fairly long for the attractions and the food/drink prices are a bit of a joke.

  • Rain, rain and more rain.

Sydney has been getting a fair bit of rain of late. Each weekend we have managed to get a bit of rain too. Which means being unable to do much outside.

On the upside, the grass seems to be growing so fast it’s hard to believe. Problem is, you mow the lawn and then within days of doing so it’s needing another mow. All we need now is for the rain to ease up a bit so that those lawns can get another trip.

I’d love to be able to run the remote control car a little more, haven’t had the chance to do so due to the weather. Managed a short go late today and then we got a serious storm in the late afternoon.

I wish I got a video clip of the water tank overflowing. The rain was very heavy and the tank was overflowing with a very high flow rate of water. Pretty impressive to see, but shame we didn’t have another tank to collect all that water. Oh well.

Managed to get a replacement air compressor today and a friend gave me a tyre pressure attachment, so I can pump up my car tyres when I want. No more need to visit the garage to use the tyre pump. Sweet.

  • Happy Birthday Opera House

Opera House celebrates a birthday, read all about it here.

Although what interested me the most was who posted it. It seems we have another Michael Fox, unless of course I have a number of jobs I dont remember having. If I do, then I am not getting paid for it.

  • Boy its cold..

Yesterday was so cold towards the afternoon. I do believe the wind that we had was the main reason. If it wasn’t so windy (and cold) then the day might of been alright.

I am so looking forward to Winter being over for the year.

  • I swear I have seen that ship before

I noticed today that a certain ship cruised into Sydney, and I thought to myself it seemed somewhat like a ship we saw last year while we cruised from Alaska to Canada. The more I thought about the more I am certain it’s the same ship.

The following photo was taken from the cruise ship Sapphire Princess. As you can see our ship we were on was a lot bigger, 2970 passengers I believe from the princess cruises website. The ship docked behind us in this photo is the same ship that just sailed into Sydney today. Very impressive nonetheless compared to the Sapphire Princess.
