Finally got around to seeing this movie. I honestly didn’t know what to expect, as I hadn’t even seen any promotion material for it. Perhaps I should of looked first and understood that perhaps this might cause some emotions.
Despite the feelings it produced, I really did enjoy this movie. The story was a wonderful one and it makes you wonder that perhaps this could be true. Perhaps be prepared with some tissues, as it’s likely to pull some strings for the older audience members who have had a dog before and had to say goodbye.
You can read more about it on IMDB.
Happy 1st Birthday Coco.
Today marks approx. a year since we got our new dog.
Today I was able to find a bit of free time to launch the boat. Was able to go for a joy ride in the Georges River.
Unfortunately the GoPro I took with me ended up being flat by the time I got to the boat ramp so wasn’t able to use it to capture any footage. Perhaps next time.
Will remember the day as the first time in any case.
Today I went and did my General Boat Licence test. I have been reviewing material for perhaps the last few weeks on and off. Finally felt I knew enough to have a crack at the test. It would appear I was correct in doing this. I passed.
Now have my General Boat Licence.
My wife and I had been discussing for a while regarding a watercraft. We did think about getting a Seadoo Spark. However PWC (Private Water Craft) licence is expensive per year and required on top of a Boat Licence. In addition to this the areas where it can be used heavily restricted.
In the end we decided perhaps a boat would be better. This way we can use it as a family.
In the end the boat idea won out. We ended up obtaining an approx. 3 year old Polycraft 4.1 Challenger Open Deck with Suzuki 30HP 2stroke Outboard with electric start.
We will be sure to use it soon as we get a chance and finish off getting my Boat Licence.
I’ve been thinking of purchasing another monitor for probably several months now. I already have dual screens that I use with my Intel NUC 5th Gen i3. But I have got sick of switching inputs to use one of them with another computer. So thought why not, just buy another monitor after all.
I wasn’t after anything flash, just needed something that did 1920 x 1080 resolution and had D-Sub, DVI and HDMI ports. In the end I decided to purchase the Asus VP228H 21.5″ LED 1ms Full HD HDMI Gaming Monitor with Speaker.
Hopefully this will be an alright monitor, as I must admit I purchased my Dual LG 24″ displays and haven’t really been very impressed with them.
The computer has now been installed and given to its new owner. It’s operating very well.
Today I completed some installation tasks on the machine and added an TP-Link Wireless card (Model: TL-WN881ND) which I’ve had for a while and is a spare unit.
I really like this card as it works on Windows 8 upwards, and you don’t have to install any drivers or software. It works out of the box with Windows.
Here is a picture of the finished computer.
System was built tonight. I added to the machine a spare Sandisk 120G SSD drive I had, and also a SATA DVD Burner Optical Drive.
I had a few problems installing the CPU cooler, but after some initial tweaking got things completed.
Very impressed with the performance from the little Celeron processor. Certainly makes a nice workstation for general word processing, internet and email usage.
Ordered a few computer parts to build a modest system up for my mum. Below is a list of the items I purchased.
I already have a DVD burner, SSD drive and PCI-e wireless card which I will install in the computer. Should make a very capable machine, and upgrade.
