WordPress Add Media Upload Failures

Prior to the install of WordPress onto blog here, I had been experiencing some issues on another server with my web host provider Zuver. The error was related to the upload of images using the Add Media feature of WordPress.

The error produced was like that shown below;

With the assistance of the Support team we were able to resolve this and all that was required was some tweaks to the hosting setup. Changes that can be performed via the Control Panel and via cpanel.

.htaccess in the web root should have the lines below added;

# Inserted By Customer Control Panel
SetENV PHPRC /home/userid/public_html
suPHP_ConfigPath /home/userid/public_html

In addition to this we should have the php.ini in the web root as per below;

date.timezone = "Australia/Melbourne"
disable_functions = show_source, passthru, exec, popen, proc_open, allow_url_fopen
memory_limit = 128M
max_execution_time = 90
max_input_time = 90
upload_max_filesize = 32M
post_max_size = 32M
extension_dir = "/usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20090626"
realpath_cache_size = 16K
realpath_cache_ttl = 120
zend_extension = "/usr/local/IonCube/ioncube_loader_lin_5.3.so"
zend_extension = "/usr/local/Zend/lib/Guard-5.5.0/php-5.3.x/ZendGuardLoader.so"

And post doing this the condition I was having with the image uploads was resolved. So I was extremely happy with this result.
