New Game Ordered – Watch Dogs on PS3

Was surprised to see that Watch Dogs was available for pre-order and releases in a few days. I remember seeing the videos for this game during the E3 in which it was originally shown/presented.

Since I don’t yet own a new console, still have my PS3, figured it would be a good purchase until I get a new console. Have decided that I will probably buy a PS4 sooner or later, may get an Xbox One eventually too if I can justify the purchase much later on.

WordPress Comment Spam

I must say, in recent weeks I have seen a massive spike in the amount of comment spam that seems to be getting through the blog here. Most of it still is getting blocked by automatic methods, but seems I’ve had an increase in those items that seem to leak through the automatic phase.

Certainly getting a bit annoying.

Carnival Spirit – 8 Day cruise

Just got back today from a cruise on Carnival Spirit. We went for 8 days and it was good cruise. Had a good time, got to relax a bit and see a few ports I’ve seen before. Will be posting more pictures from the trip in the coming week, however below is a quick tease.

Captured this one from Noumea, where the Spirit docked in the Freight Terminal, as it cannot fit into the Passenger Terminal.

I’ve parsed the photo via a filter to give the picture a miniature look.

Contracts exchanged

Today we received notification from our conveyancer that contacts had been exchanged.

We now have to wait for land registration that is estimated as March 2015.

Stay tuned.

New Dell Inspirion Intel i3 – Model 3537

The new Dell Inspirion Intel i3 – 3537 I ordered the other week finally arrived today.

I got home cracked open the box and spent the last few hours playing around. So far I like it. Not a huge fan of the track pad, but no big deal as I was going to use it with a mouse and/or Bluetooth mouse. The keyboard is alright, I am sure I will get use to that. Seems to run alright.

First thing I did was bump the ram from 4gb to 8gb total. As I figured this will enable me to put VMWare Workstation on and run the odd virtual machine for some recording and testing when I am not wishing to be tied to the desk. Although it will chew battery power of course.

I am finding Windows 8.1 pretty easy to use. I will continue to use it and see how I go.

If your in the market for a budget machine, this one certainly ticks the boxes in  my opinion so far.
